Hello from Manila,

Just a brief report of the facts of the just accomplished Operation Asia 2010 – Pacific Warrior:

This operation in Asia went again very smooth. 15 participants from 8 nations (UK, USA, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Malaysia and Indonesia) joined this remarkable operation. Our 3 host-units did a very good job and we felt very save and had a lot of fun during the training, diving and of course the jumps. Likewise during former operations in Asia (Op Asia 2006 jumpmaster from Taiwan, during Op Asia 2007 a jumpmaster from Japan and Op Asia 2009 a jumpmaster from the Philippine Marine Corps) we were glad to welcome 2 Asian guest-jumpmaster in our team.

The operation was hosted by the Force Recon Battalion of the Philippine Marine Corps. Assisted was the operation by the Special Forces Regiment of the Philippine Army and the Special Action Force of the Philippine National Police.

On top we had the honour to having each 2 officers of the Air Force the Malaysian Air Force SAS Paskau Regiment and of the Air Force of the Indonesian Air Force Paskhas Special Forces Corps among our team who were authorized to award the national Parachute Wings in different levels to our host units and participants.

Operation Asia 2010 included:

Military training part:
Parachute refresher training (not suitable for beginners):
- Intensive parachute refresher training executed by our host unit the Force Recon Battalion of the Philippine Marine Corps

3 parachute jumps in total:
- 1 jump by static-line/ freefall executed by the Philippine Armed Forces
- 1 jump by static-line/ freefall executed with jumpmasters of the Malaysian Air Force SAS Paskau Regiment
- 1 jump by static-line/ freefall executed with jumpmasters of the Indonesian Air Force Paskhas Special Forces Corps

Dive-training and dive in the Pacific Ocean:
- 1 dive-training and scuba dive executed by the Philippine Marine Corps

Military awards:
After completing the respective requirements the participant will be awarded with following badges:
Parachute wings (in reference to the participant’s qualification) including certificate:
- Philippine Armed Forces Wings
- Philippine Army Freefall Wings
- Philippine Police Freefall Wings
- Malaysian Air Force Static-Line or Freefall Wings
- Indonesian Air Force Static-Line or Freefall Wings

Badges including certificates:
- Philippine Scuba Bagde (honouree award) of the Philippine Marine Corps

Cultural program and sight-seeing- tours:
- Manila
- World War 2 heritage Corregidor Island
- Relaxing at the beaches of the sea-shore the Philippines

We will return in 2011 and looking forward to your participation!
